This switching system was designed to be used with the 4-Square array from Hi-Z Antennas (tm). Array power is supplied to the rear connector of this switching system. This allows the entire array power to be switched with the front panel toggle switch. The rotary switch selects one at a time of the 4 directions. The yellow LED lights indicate which direction is selected. The upper left LED will be lit in the fully CCW direction of the switch. This also corresponds with the 0,0 signal sent out the direction1 and direction 2 outputs. The directions then will rotate around the LED square as the rotary switch is turned. The front panel array and switching was laid out to be just like the compass as NW, NE, SE, and SW. If element 1 of the 4-square array is connected as the NW element, the LEDs will indicate the actual compass direction that the array is switched to.

  The 4 terminals of the barrier strip provide the connection to the 4-square array controller. Ground, +13.8 VDC, CTRL1, and CTRL2 which match the controller inputs. The ground connection may not always be connected directly to the controller as the coax cable shield may be used to carry the power supply return. The power connection is a standard 2.1mm power plug with center pin positive. The enclosure is 6" x 3.5" x 2" high.
